Service & Support
MacForce is an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP). Our technicians are Apple-trained and certified to perform both warranty and non-warranty repairs. Please note that some repairs or technical support provided by MacForce may void your manufacturer’s warranty. While MacForce does not assume liability if a manufacturer warranty is voided, we may, at our discretion, offer our own warranty on the parts and services performed.
It is your responsibility to provide MacForce with an accurate description of your device’s model, condition, and any previous repair attempts or modifications.
Data and Backups
MacForce is not liable for the loss, alteration, or corruption of any software, data, or files during the repair process. The customer is responsible for backing up all data before allowing MacForce to work on a device. If you need assistance, we offer backup services starting at $60. While we have extensive experience in data recovery for inaccessible drives, we cannot guarantee total recovery. Data recovery and backup services are non-refundable.
Storage Fees & Unclaimed Equipment
To ensure we can manage our workspace effectively, please pick up your equipment promptly once notified.
Storage Fees: A fee of $2 per day will be charged for any completed or canceled repair not picked up within 30 days of notification.
Abandonment: After 30 days, hardware is considered unclaimed. MacForce will attempt to contact you via phone and email.
Ownership: If equipment is not retrieved within 90 days of service completion, it will be deemed abandoned and becomes the property of MacForce, unless other arrangements have been agreed to in writing.
Returns and Exchanges
We do not accept returns or offer refunds on parts, products, or labor related to a repair. We will exchange any defective item with the same or a similar item within 30 days. MacForce reserves the right to repair any item prior to offering an exchange.
Warranty Coverage
Our 90-day warranty is limited to the specific parts and services that were paid for.
Parts Only: Warranty is limited to the replacement of the parts.
Parts & Service: Warranty covers the labor cost of part replacement and repairs specifically resulting from the initial work.
After 90 days, the manufacturer’s warranty applies to qualifying hardware.
Our warranty does not protect against:
Subsequent mishandling, accidental drops, or water damage.
Tampering with internal hardware or attempted customer repairs.
Software issues or new damages unrelated to the original repair.
Pre-existing conditions, such as known manufacturing defects or prior damage noted before our repair.
Liability and Replacement
The warranty is valid only for the specific device repaired and the original customer; it is not transferable. If a device is irreparably damaged as a direct result of a repair attempted by a MacForce technician, the customer is entitled to a refurbished device of equal or greater value (based on the model and condition received) or the monetary fair market value.
If payment for the service was not rendered, the repair quote will be deducted from this value. To receive a replacement device, the damaged equipment must be surrendered to MacForce. MacForce and its affiliates are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost data, software, or lost profits.
Software & Gift Cards
Software: MacForce adheres to manufacturer license requirements and installs software accordingly. Software problems are not covered under manufacturer warranties and are subject to standard service rates.
Gift Cards: Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
Governing Law and Severability
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will stay in full force and effect.
